About Us
Revel is the creation of Rob van Eyken. Having trained and worked for large accounting firms for the majority of his career, and more recently, managing a local firm, Rob felt that there was a gap in the market for a local, modern accountant providing excellent city expertise and service, at local prices. Rob was supported in his start-up by his co-director (and wife) Laura van Eyken throughout. They were joined as a shareholder/director by Will Bolter in June 2021. The management team work tirelessly to ensure Revel is a business that is a force for good, living and breathing its Mission Statement and Values.
Revel is now an eleven person team with strong Values, and a strong vision: to have a positive impact for our clients, as an employer, to our local community, and to the environment. One vision, that breaks down into many parts but have a common theme of our team sharing a collective drive to uphold our values, and to always be open to learn, change and improve.

A brief history of Rob
Rob trained with a top ten accounting practice, gaining wide experience across audit and general business services, whilst specialising in the field of NHS GP practices.
Post ACCA qualification, Rob moved to a top 20 firm to further broaden his experience; predominantly looking after the accounting affairs of “small businesses” (typically those with annual turnover below £2m). More recently, Rob managed a local office of an independent practice, where he looked after the accounting and tax affairs of a incredibly broad range of clients across a diverse range of sectors.
In December 2016, Rob and his wife (and Revel’s co-owner) Laura had a baby girl, and took the bold decision to start a family business reflective of their values, and Revel Chartered Certified Accountants was born.
