Rob Van Eyken
Rob is Revel’s principal accountant and Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, having worked in practice for over 10 years.
Rob trained with a specialist GP partnership accounting team in a top ten firm, which ideally suited his natural passions of putting client needs first, whilst maintaining a high level of technical expertise.
Although Rob expanded from pure medical accounting to general small businesses, the ethos of delivering high quality accounting and tax advice, in plain English that ‘non accountants’ can understand, has remained the core of his approach.
Rob also takes pride in breaking down and simplifying his clients’ accounting conundrums, alleviating their stress, minimising their tax exposure and allowing them to focus on driving their business forward.
Known for his attention to detail, excellent client service and plain English approach, Rob has built a solid reputation amongst the local community as a professional that adds value to his client’s businesses. It is never really just about the accounts for Rob, he wants your business to thrive.
Rob recently began study towards the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) qualification to supplement his accounting expertise, and in his spare time he enjoys time with the family, five-a-side football and golf. Prior to university he also studied contemporary music and he recently dusted off his old bass guitar with the aim of starting a classic rock covers band – so look out for him in your local pub soon!
Laura Van Eyken
Laura is a co-director/owner of Revel, having made the intrepid decision to switch to accountancy after years of success in the legal profession.
With a background in law, specifically real estate finance, general commercial property transactions and Stamp Duty Land Tax, Laura provides valuable insight into issues that easily pass by your everyday accountant- all combined with a straight talking no-nonsense focus to get the best for her clients. In addition to general accounting and tax, she has a wealth of general commercial awareness and property tax knowledge, which is of huge benefit to many of our clients.
Laura works part time for Revel at present, splitting her remaining time between caring for our daughter, and studying towards her ATT qualification. In the little spare time that remains, she enjoys time with the family, walking and an occasional game of tennis … although we warn you, she can be quite competitive!
